Merry Christmas (and Happy Hannukah)!

Here are a few more holiday sets I've done:

These were for someone who was having an ornament party for friends! They were really fun to do. :)

Some cute little snowment and Santas

My first Hannukah cookies!

A platter for my friend Alison to take to a family Christmas party. She definitely wanted snowmen, Santa bellies and reindeer, and she gave me creative liberty to do whatever else I wanted to put on there as well, so I had fun with this one!

Thank you to all of my sweet and wonderful cookie customers! :)

Always playing catch-up......

I wish I could post cookies on here as soon as I make them, but I just usually don't! I do post them a little more frequently on Facebook, if anyone wants to take a look over there! It's 'The Chic Cookie' (of course) :)

Here are some recent cookies:

Thanksgiving tray for my friend Tina :)

Fruit tray for a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party! I have no idea why this and some of the other pictures are sideways--I wish I could fix it......but I have no idea how!

And finally, the first of many Christmas cookies to come!

You don't have to turn your head to see this one ;)

Christmas platter for an office Christmas party......Santa's belt inspired by Sugarbelle, and reindeer inspired by The Baking Sheet!

Fall/Thanksgiving cookies

These were for my sons' pre-school/MDO Thanksgiving luncheon. All the parents usually sign up to bring food, and their teachers asked me to bring cookies. Guess they know me well. :)

I love the little turkeys, made using a flower cutter. Lest you think I am creative and such a genius for having thought of that, let me tell you that I actually did not think of that. :) Sugarbelle did, of course. I love her creative use of cookie cutters! Of course now it seems completely obvious that a flower cutter should double as a turkey, right? ;)

Soccer

This set was for a soccer party--soccer balls, and soccer jerseys (some made to match the jersey, and others with the team name). This was my first time doing soccer balls, and they were a little harder than I thought they'd be! But luckily I think they ended up resembling a soccer ball for the most part. :)

Thanks Kathy! I appreciate it! :)

Baby boy cookies

This set is for my mom to give to her cute neighbors, who recently had a baby boy. I love doing baby cookies!

More Halloween!

I made thirteen dozen cookies this week--all Halloween. :) I am a little worn out, but it was fun. Last night after I finished, I was ready for a break from cookies for a few days, and here I am today already wanting to do some more! I am definitely crazy :)

Here are some of the ones I did:

I loved the witch's legs--they were from a tutorial from Sugarbelle (of course!) I had done some in a previous set that I had seen on a Halloween card (I get some great ideas in the card aisle at Target, lol), but those I had just done on a square cutter. I loved how she used an upside-down baby onesie for these. The pumpkins on the cake stand was another idea from a card--I loved the cake stand, but wanted to make it more Halloween-ish, so I put a pumpkin on it instead of a cake. The coffin is from Sugarbelle, too. :)

Love these eyeballs! Kinda gross but so fun! :)

I may try to squeeze a few more in before Monday, so we'll see if I can do it!

Baseball cookies

My friend Kerry ordered two dozen cookies for her son's game this weekend. She asked for bats, balls, gloves and the letter 'P' for the Phillies. I was so excited since I loooove baseball and have been wanting to try some baseball cookies forever! I looked at some pictures online of some gloves to try and get an idea of how they should look, and using my sketches and inspiration from Sweet Sugarbelle, this is how they turned out. I also got lots of ideas for the bats from Flickr. I added a little baseball to the 'P'. Overall, I think the set turned out pretty cute. :)

Thanks Kerry!! It was so good to see you again! Jake and I had so much fun :)

Catching up some more!

It seems I just keep getting behind on updating the blog, so I'll do like last time and just put all the recent cookie pictures in one post!

These were for my friend Tina, who ordered two dozen Halloween cookies :)

She also ordered six dozen cookie bites, which I was really excited to put in my little plastic tubes!

My sweet friend Heather that I used to work with requested favors for her daughter's birthday party, all in light pink and brown. I love those colors!

Some more cookie bites--this time with some "sparkle" :)

These were for my friend Alison, who was throwing her sister a carnival-themed wedding shower. I got inspiration for these from Maryann, the Cookie Artisan! (I wish I would have taken this picture during the day, though, since the lighting would have been way better! But I really loved how they turned out :))

Whew! That's it for now :) Coming up in the next few weeks......baseball cookies, and lots more Halloween!

Ole!

Hubby wanted some cookies to take to his managers for all the hard work they've been doing, so I thought some "southwest-inspired" cookies would be appropriate. :) I had so much fun making these.

Mini baby onesies

Here are four dozen mini baby onesies for my friend Alissa's mom, who ordered them for baby shower favors. She requested the colors lime green and black, to match the invitations. I loved how they turned out!

Thanks Alissa (and Alissa's mom!) :)

Movie cookies

When my friend Ruth asked if I could do a set of movie-themed cookies, I of course headed to Flickr and Google to get some ideas. :) I was so excited to do these--they were so much fun! (Inspired by The Cookie Artisan)

Here's a close-up of the popcorn and one of the tickets.

Thanks again Ruth!!

Playing catch-up!

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever! Probably because I haven't. :) I've done a few cookies orders since the last one I posted, so in order to save time I'll just put the recent ones all together here.....

The dinosuars and owls were for Angela, a friend of mine from middle school, who has twins! They were celebrating their first birthday, so she wanted dinos for the boy and owls for the girl. :)

With these next few, I was just playing around with some leftover dough and icing, and wanted to try and do some designs I'd seen on some cards......

Some more back-to-school cookies for my friend Michele, who ordered them for the parents at open house!

Thos set was for my friend Stacey, who was helping to host a hot pink and black-themed bridal shower......I love those colors! Six dozen cookie bites :)

Here I was just practicing some Halloween Cookies--can't wait to do more of these! :)

This little guy was from a tutorial from LilaLoa!

And finally, some more A&M cookies for a sweet lady I met at William Sonoma when I went in looking for a new bowl for my Kitchen Aid mixer! We got to talking and she asked what I was going to be baking, and one thing led to another and before long I was showing her cookie pics on my phone! I think hubby was probably slightly embarrassed. :) Anyway, she contacted me shortly after and wanted some A&M cookies for a dear friend of hers. So here are a few before they got shipped off to College Station! Thank you so much Barbara! :)

Back to school!

I can't believe it's already back-to-school time, and it still feels like it's 200 degrees outside. It just seems all wrong. I am excited about it being back-to-school time, however, because it means that hopefully cooler weather is somewhere in the future. Distant future, but I'll take it! I was also super-excited when my friend Alison asked me to make some school-themed cookies for her daughter's first day of school. I had been wanting to make some and I was so happy to have the chance! I got a lot of ideas from Sugarbelle (of course) and Flickr too.

Of course a back-to-school set must include apples :)

The finished platter!

Thanks Alison!!! I hope the teachers love them :)
